How I'd love
to hold the hand
of the woman
who loves me
for who I am.

Understand
what I try
to be:
Free
of whatever that holds me,
whatever that holds me
down.

Now,
breaking through
the lies
that once were told
to the young
angelic soul.
An innocent child
that was misguided
by the words of
deceitful adults
who let her believe,
let her believe
she'd never be
good
sweet
cute
smart
slim enough.
Never enough,
now I've had enough
of that crap
holding me back.
It's time
to take control,
take control.
It's time
to let you know
who I really am!

Free
to express
the essence
of myself,
I am me
who I wanna be.
Now do you see
I've got the power
to heal all wounds
that were inflicted upon me.
I have moved beyond the tragedy.

And I'm ready
to hold the hand
of the woman
who loves me for who I am.
Now I can
